If you are having any performance issues, look into tweaking your wireless router config. Maybe change channels if you happen to be on a congested one with other people in an apt complex near you. Also with the new chromecast 2 we will finally see 5ghz support.

You can't abolish buffering on wifi but you only see buffering if you keep seeking, so stop seeking so much. :)

Big question is, whos chromecast is near an ethernet cable? Heck the whole POINT of using a chromecast and videostream is as a wireless hdmi solution. If I was going to add a wire, I would just add an hdmi wire.

@Vysse no, the videostream tab does not need to be open, as long as chrome is open it will work.

And same for me, I'm using Ubuntu 14.04...

new windows 10 build is out 10547.. and VideoStream is still working :)

@isaacchristie Windows 10 is true, is there a problem with videostream compability?

I managed to work around Chromium not having NaCl installed by getting the Ubuntu version of Chrome from Google and installing by right click on the downloaded .deb file and opening it with Ubuntu Software Center.
It did require a full system restart.

It'd be nice if Chromium had NaCl and made things easy, but I don't dwell. :-|

Ryoken is right, just hang in there for the feature-full android app to be ported to iOS.

@Miss-Shane About 3 month ago we should have fixed this. If you're still seeing this something new must be going on - any chance you could send Graham an email (he'll know more about this then me) at graham@getvideostream.com and we'll figure out what's going on here!

I don't think they do. They released an incomplete version of the mobile app, it doesn't have any playlist feature and haven't solved that...

That is also a very good point. I hadn't thought about that before. I would dare say "push notifications" but that would also mean that videostream is a potential security issue for our devices... videostream shouldn't have the ability to turn our devices' wi-fi connection on unless it was actually activated by the user.
