Quick question about playing files from phone

Does Videostream have to be open in a tab to be able to play a file from your phone or will it automatically open a Videostream tab for you? I have tried with no tab open and it hasn't worked but wanted to see if that is how it is or if something isn't working.

@Vysse no, the videostream tab does not need to be open, as long as chrome is open it will work.
