Same problem. My Videostream software doesn't startup anymore. It seems that the Contact Support is not available anymore... :(

Also Canary (Chrome dev version) 59.0.3046.4 didn't work with Videostream. I have Win10. Other Chromecast video apps like "Cast player" streams mp4's, but I much prefer Videostream when it works!

If you're on a 2.4Ghz router check your settings. Chromecast/Home/etc have trouble on the 802.11n protocol. Change your router settings to allow "Legacy" wireless mode for products that use the 802.11 b/g protocols.

Sorry we didn't reply sooner! We use a tiny amount of data when our app is loaded onto your chromecast. Like <1MB, the video itself goes directly from computer to Chromecast so no internet data is used for that, we don't want to foot that bill ;)

Exact same thing happening to me, same specs also. This started happening recently, I had no problems a week or two ago.

I can't watch for more than 2 minutes.

After playing the video for 1 to 2 minutes, the Videostream tab on Chrome shows the Videostream Home screen ,instead of the video info and then in a few seconds the video stops and I see "buffering". I press on continue watching in Videostream, watch for 1 or 2 more minutes then the same thing happens again.

I am on Windows 10, Chrome Version 56.0.2924.87 (64-bit)

I have this same problem! It happens to me on Videostream often, and I've seen it (I think) on other Chromecast apps every once in a long while. My solution is to just hit a quick rewind (like 30-second rewind) and that seems to fix it immediately.
