Videostream stops working after either closing/reopening Chrome or stopping/restarting casting
-
Configuration:
Windows 8.1 x64 non-Pro
Chrome 40.0.2214.111 m (64-bit)
Videostream 2.15.2.1700
Chromecast firmware 26653Once working Videostream works great and can keep playing new files but stops working:
-
consistently after closing and reopening Chrome
-
sometimes when stopping and restarting casting
Error message reported is "We're having trouble talking to your Chromecast!" and the only way to get it working again is to put "chrome://restart" in the address bar as suggested. Chromecast tab casting works fine outside of Videostream.
Interestingly, came across another thread that mentions an older version of Videostream 1.3.1.11 that doesn't have these issues but the interface isn't as clean. Hope this info helps to track down the bug and fix it in the new version.

I'm having the same problem here on my end. As soon as I close Chrome, Videostream stops working, which forces me to uninstall and then reinstall Videostream each time I use it.
Does anyone know what the problem is and will the developers please respond to this thread?
