does videostream use internet data while streaming existing videos on the computer?
-
I have some videos on my computer.I am streaming them to my TV using chromecast. So am I using inernet data? If so how much am I using? Is it the same amount as you would use while streaming Youtube hd videos or very less with videostream? Please help.Thank you.

I would also like to know the answer to this, as I suspect the stream is using quite a bit of internet data.

The fact that this question isn't answered is pretty worrying. Why would your local files use internet data? If it does, is it broadcasting peoples private videos? If it does. that's just fucked up.

Sorry we didn't reply sooner! We use a tiny amount of data when our app is loaded onto your chromecast. Like <1MB, the video itself goes directly from computer to Chromecast so no internet data is used for that, we don't want to foot that bill ;)
Also we've pretty much depreciated these forums now! Future questions will be best emailed to us as we have a support person now to help faster! team@getvideostream.com
Cheers!
