    • Naruto - Announcing Group Seven

Episode 3, in the development of the bold and brash youngster, begins in an odd environment. Upon arising, the weary Naruto has his breakfast, and here we see that although he lives alone, having no parents, he has considerable comforts under the circumstances. These include a refrigerator, an electric coffee maker, and a poster on the wall of "No No Noodles." His breakfast consists of a cup of instant soup and noodles. It is a modern world for the little boy who concludes his meal by drinking long and deep from a carton of milk, an act that will have profound effects on this most important of days.

Once off to school, Naruto is able to easily avoid the clumsy ambush by the small grandson of the Third Hokage, warning the child not to bother him today as he has an important explanatory meeting.

We are then introduced to the hyperactive, and somewhat inner-directed Haruno Sakura, a girl who is worshipped by Naruto but whom she despises in return. She, instead, is infatuated by the coldly disinterested, Uchiha Sasuke. On her way to school, she bumps into classmate, Yamanaka Ino, a tough girl, who is just as infatuated with Sasuke. The two girls, equally matched rivals, race eachother to school, reaching the door simultaneously, whereupon we are treated to a comedy that has borrowed extensively from The Three Stooges.

Naruto, sitting quietly in class is challenged by another student, who tells him it is only for those who have graduated. Naruto corrects him with, "Hey, can you not see this forehead protector?" While a few rows behind we first glimpse a sweet and gentle girl who has a crush on the boy with a demon fox sealed within.

When the girls of the class compete to see who will sit next to the cool Sasuke, Naruto is incensed by their attentions, crouching onto a desk before Sasuke to glare at him from inches away. Another student intentionally bumps Naruto, who loses his balance falling into Sasuke, lips locked. While the embarrassed boys gag and spit, Naruto senses danger and looks back to see an angry mob of girls, with Sakura in the lead, muttering to herself, "Damn it! I was supposed to get Sasuke-kun's first kiss!"

Back in the headmaster's office, Hokage-Sama and the assembled teachers see the events on the crystal ball, realizing that once more Naruto is the center of trouble.

Class begins as teacher Iruka arrives, announcing that today they are all official Ninjas of the level of Genin. They will be split into groups of three where they will set out upon missions, each supervised by a Jounin teacher. The girls dream of being matched with Sasuke, while Naruto dreams of being matched with Sakura.

Finally the line-up of the 7th group is kakashi mangekyou sharingan announced: Uzumaki Naruto, Haruno Sakura, and Uchiha Sasuke. Naruto is thrilled to be with Sakura, but disappointed to be with Sasuke. Quietly, a few rows back, Hyuuga Hinata is sad that she was not able to be teamed up with Naruto. Instead she becomes a member of the 8th group along with Inuzuka Kibo and Aburame Shino. As the morning class continues and the final groups are announced, Sakura sends a victorious hand signal to her rival, Ino, angering the latter, while announcing to herself: "Alright! Love prevails!"

The 10th and final group is announced: Yamanaka Ino (butch female), Nara Shikamaru (unenthusiastic guy), and Akimichi Chouji (the fat kid who only likes to eat).

    • Who Is Naruto's Father?

The identity of Naruto's father has been the subject of speculation for Naruto fans for a long time. There have been heated debates - even full-blown internet flaming wars - about the mystery that is Naruto's father.

      The Fourth Hokage Theory

Most people believed that Naruto's father was the Yondaime or the Fourth Hokage. The resemblance between the Yondaime and Naruto is striking - they both have blue eyes and yellow hair and they even have the same smile. And since Naruto is an orphan and the fourth died fighting with the Kyuubi - it all made sense.

Some people even went so far as to believe that the Yondaime, though it was clearly stated that he died fighting the Kyuubi, somehow survived and lived on to become the Akatsuki leader. They believed that everything - from the sealing of the Kyuubi inside Naruto until the hunting of the Jinchuuruki by the Akatsuki - was all part of an elaborate plot concocted by the genius mind of the Fourth Hokage. They believed that what was shown about the Yondaime was just a hoax, he was actually evil despite the fact that all the people of Konoha loved him and that he was willing to die for them.

However, there were many people who disagreed with these believers of 'Yondaime is Naruto's father theory' because they couldn't understand why a father would seal something like the Kyuubi inside his own son. Some believed that it would just be 'too obvious' and that Kishimoto can't possibly write something so obvious - there has to be a twist. Some believed that the Yondaime was Naruto's uncle, or brother, or some other distant relative - just not his father.

There were even people who believed that the Akatsuki leader (who they believed was not Yondaime) was actually Naruto's father. And, for some reason, he was hunting his own son. This theory was reinforced by the fact that the Akatsuki Leader's shadow looked somewhat like he had the same hair as Naruto. And when the Akatsuki's leaders face was revealed to have a striking resemblance to Naruto too, this theory gathered more supporters. And they believed that a Star Wars scene with the Akatsuki Leader saying "Naruto, I am your father" was not such a far off possibility.

There were other theories - some so farfetched and random that you'd have to wonder what the fans smoked in order to come up with it. But all those theories were dispelled once Chapter 367 of the manga came.

      The Revelation

Chapter 367 is a perfect example of how the simplest answers are almost always the right ones. It how did kakashi get mangekyou sharingan out that the blatant was actually true and the Fourth Hokage really is Naruto's father. Jiraiya and Tsunade confirmed it all and even revealed the Yondaime's name to be Namikaze Minato.

But if the fourth is Naruto's father, then why is his name Uzumaki Naruto and not Namikaze Naruto? Where does the Uzumaki come from? It turns out that, for some reason, Naruto got his mother's surname instead of his father's. And it's not really heartless for Minato to seal Kyuubi inside Naruto since it was, after all, his dying wish that Naruto be treated as a hero for having to contend with having a monster inside him. He died believing that the villagers would love Naruto, he had no idea that they would do the opposite. This chapter has yet to be made into a Naruto episode, but it should be revealed in Naruto Shippuden pretty soon.

    • Naruto Episode Guide - Naruto 2

Episode 2 of the Naruto anime series starts off with Naruto taking a bizarre photo for his ninja registration. Clueless as to what is expected of him in the photo, the photo is later rejected by the Hokage. Dispite the Naruto oriented beginning, this episode mainly focuses on Naruto meeting Konohamaru, the grandson of the Third Hokage.

After realizing that Naruto doesn't treat Konohamaru like everyone else in the village, Konohamaru decides to adopt Naruto as his "boss", which is met with much dismay by his tutor. Naruto reluctantly takes Konohamaru under his wing and begins teaching him about "Catcha", what we soon find out to be the mispronounced word for "Chakra". Konohamaru is most interested in learning Naruto's sexy no jutsu, where he transforms himself into a beautiful, and normally nude, version of himself as a distraction technique.

First, Naruto tries to get Konohamaru to "henge" (Japanese for "transform") into a pretty local woman. The transformation is performed unsuccessfully and Naruto gets all of the blame as the woman attacks him for the misshapen version of her. Next Naruto takes Konohamaru to a local bookstore and they flip through a magazine of girls in bathing suits. As soon as they are noticed, the store clerk gives Naruto another mild beating for looking at magazines that he's not supposed to. For Naruto's last lesson, he takes Konohamaru to the woman's public bath. Naruto is recognized soon after entering and is given his third beating for the day. It's safe to say that Naruto is quite the pervert for a 12 year old.

Details of Naruto's past are explained in this episode, including how he became the Kyubi (9 tailed fox beast) and why everyone looks at him so coldly. There is also a hint to who Naruto's father is, something that won't be disclosed until way farther on into the manga series. All in all, you are kakashi hatake mangekyō sharingan given a pretty good idea as to why life has been so hard for Naruto.

Winding down towards the end of this episode, Naruto realizes that him and Konohamaru aren't so different. Konohamaru is looked at differently by the entire village just because he is the grandson of the Third Hokage. The episode ends with Konohamaru announcing that him and Naruto are now rivals since they both desire to become Hokage. This sudden change from friends to rivals is also due to Naruto saying that Konohamaru will have to beat him to become Hokage. Either way, Konohamaru will look up to Naruto many episodes into the future, and they will form a relationship that will last throughout the entire anime and manga series.

    • Which Girl Would Naruto End Up With?

It's always amazing to see how much people can get riled up over Naruto's love life. Indeed, Naruto's love life is the subject of many debates and flame wars in the internet. Either way, we can't deny the fact that the whole 'romance' aspect of the anime makes it more interesting. And, since Naruto's the main character he has to end up with someone, right?

There are two girls in the series who posses the possibility of ending up with Naruto. Unless, the author Kishimoto throws in a new female character onto the mix.

      Haruno Sakura

Sakura is and has always been Naruto's crush, even from the beginning of the series. Although she is Naruto's teammate but she wasn't not necessarily his friend at the beginning of team Kakashi. In fact, Sakura displayed a lot of hostility towards Naruto in the beginning of the series, owing perhaps to Naruto's reputation as the academy's 'deadlast'. However, she warms up to him as the series progresses and starts to care for him as a friend. Sure, if you look at it this way, these two seem like they're headed for the holy matrimony. Naruto's the main male character and Sakura's the main female character and they would probably end up together, right? Wrong. Things aren't that simple.

Ir'a given fact that Naruto has a crush on Sakura, but Sakura is in love with Sasuke instead; Naruto's direct rival. He is everything he is not since start. As a genius, Sasuke is also good looking, and powerful without even trying. Sasuke does not blatantly return her affections but there are little clues in the series where you'll see that these two; Sakura and Sasuke definitely have something together. In fact, Sakura and Sasuke's relationship is one of the most romantically developed in the anime what with the hug in the forest of death where it is only through Sakura's hug that Sasuke, possessed by the cursed seal, comes to his senses. There's also Sasuke's acknowledgement that Sakura is one of his 'precious persons'. And then there's this huge matter of Sakura's confession of love, true 'I'll-sacrifice-everything-for-you' love. And though Sasuke knocked her out, he does leave her with a thank you which is enigmatic and poignant.

Until now, even with Sasuke's defection, he is still the biggest hindrance to any possibility of Naruto and Sakura getting together since Sakura obviously still loves Sasuke and there are always these tiny clues that he might love her back. All it takes for them to get together is for Sasuke to finish with his goals and have time to 'restore his clan'.

And though Sakura is warming up to Naruto, it mostly seems like friendship and not 'romance'. Sakura loves Naruto but only as a friend it seems like moving forth even at Naruto Shippuden. All of Naruto's advances seems to fail as Sakura rejected him softly without much emotion.

      Hyuuga Hinata

Then there's Hinata. Hinata is a shy girl who, unlike all the other academy girls, had a crush on Naruto since the very beginning. She never looked down on Naruto although she is way smarter then Naruto. On the contrary, the crush she has on Naruto is so huge that she faints whenever she's on a close proximity to Naruto.

Unbeknownst to Naruto, she is one sharingan kakashi of the first people who have ever acknowledged him besides Sasuke. Hinata admires him for his courage, strength, determination, and confidence. These are qualities completely opposite of her that she lacks greatly of. Naruto inspires her to be more than she is and it always pushes Hinata to be a better person

Naruto and Hinata have their moments. The most important one is probably the 'blood oath'. And all throughout the anime, Kishimoto inserts fluffy Naruhina scenes, especially in Shippuden. In my opinion, all it takes for them to get together is a confession of some sort such as Hinata finally gathering enough courage (which fits well with her theme) to walk up to Naruto and tell him she loves him.

    • Who's Stronger Between Naruto And Sasuke?

One of the favorite topics of debate for Naruto fans is the matter of who the stronger one is; Naruto or Sasuke. Now, as you may know, Naruto and Sasuke are rivals. Naruto is the orphan boy who has never had a family and Sasuke is the orphan boy who saw his whole family murdered by none other than his own brother. Naruto was shunned and looked down upon by the villagers because he was the vessel for the Kyuubi, the monster that wreaked havoc upon Konoha 12 years prior. All Naruto wants is for people to acknowledge him. Sasuke, on the other hand, belongs to the Uchiha clan, the strongest and most prestigious clan in Konoha.

Naruto would do anything to have what Sasuke so haphazardly throws away; the respect of the villagers and the love of Haruno Sakura. Sasuke is everything that Naruto is not; he is handsome, well respected, and intelligent to the point of being a genius, powerful without even lifting a finger. Sasuke is the very image of perfection. But unlike Naruto, Sasuke is cold, aloof, and uncaring. He is arrogant and too obsessed with the past and the tattered aristocracy of his dead clan. He is single minded, so driven by the thought of revenge that he takes for granted everything he has left. And that is what Naruto cannot accept. Naruto cannot understand why Sasuke cannot see what he has right in front of him. Naruto cannot understand why Sasuke is never contented. As the series progresses, Naruto becomes stronger and he starts catching up. And this is what Sasuke cannot accept. He cannot understand why someone like Naruto who was dull and did not have a kekkei genkai could be so strong. He cannot understand why Itachi would be more interested in Naruto rather than him. Of course, Sasuke did not know about the Kyuubi back then.
And so they have a rivalry and it's the age old debate between which would win: power and attitude or power and intelligence.

      Naruto

Of course, power and attitude refers to Naruto. Naruto is pure determination. He might not be the brightest pea in the pod, but he sure is the most persevering. What he lacks in intelligence, he more than makes up for in raw power. Of course, Naruto owes his brawn to the Kyuubi who lends him a huge amount of chakra and stamina and this is a huge advantage in fights.

      Sasuke

Sasuke, on the other hand is power and intelligence. He wields the Sharingan; the strongest doujutsu in Konoha. He is fast and powerful. And though he might not have as much stamina as Naruto does, he makes up for it with his ingenious strategies and techniques. Like Naruto, Sasuke is determined. But his determination is directed at all the wrong things.

      Who is stronger?

So, in the end, who is stronger? Naruto who has his raw strength or Sasuke who has ingenious strategies? Perhaps the answer could be found if they fought. And fight they did. In the valley of the end, Naruto and Sasuke had a definitive fight. It was a grueling fight. They both had equal power ups, Naruto with his Kyuubi stage 2 and Sasuke with his Curse Seal 2. It was an extremely close fight but in the end, it was Sasuke who won. However, let's not forget that Naruto kakashi sharingan only had a few tails out then from the Kyuubi and he's still got up to 9 tails to go in terms of just Kyuubi's side of power. Besides powers from Kyuubi, Naruto has been constantly been training very viciously in the Naruto Shippuden series and now in Kakashi's own words "surpass" Akatsuki members by himself. Although Sasuke is more powerful then Naruto, in Shippuden if they were to have a fight today it's tough to say that Sasuke would be close to winning the fight. On the other hand we would expect Naruto to win, although by not much.

    • Going To The Grocery Store For A Date!

Have you ever gone to the grocery store to pick up a few things for dinner after work? Was this experience fun or was it a chore that you just wanted to get out of the way? You are already tired, frustrated from traffic and just want to go home. Well I'm here to show you a simple way you can spend some quality time with your significant other AND get a task done that is not usually fun (for men) to do by yourself and that is going to get groceries at your local grocery store.

      Grocery Shopping Sucks!

Going to the grocery store can be a heavy task by yourself (this is usually the case with me) because it is usually right after work. You are tired from the commute, tired from work, and you generally just want to go home and put your feet up for a few hours to relax. I don't know a man out there who is overly enthused about going grocery shopping. I heard a pastor once say when his wife became ill he had to take on the task of going to the grocery store. He said the only way he was able to do this was to visit the store on Saturday night when the store was empty and he had ample time to concentrate. Furthermore, those times when I stop at a store that is not my usual and I am not familiar with the isles, you may as well shoot me before I even go in. I literally become this growling animal through the isle's looking for items I need and just when you think you've finally found the isle that has your item you come to the realization that it is not there. It is truly frustrating.

A Date At The Grocery Store

Now there may have guys out there who disagree with me. Such as the man who just watched an episode of Rachel Ray who is preparing to impress a new lady friend and thinks he can prepare the meal just like the one he saw on TV the day before. The only time I look forward to going to the grocery store is when my wife and I make it like a date to get away from the kids. We usually find a grocery store (Wegmans) that has a nice hot food bar and a quiet place to sit to relax and chat while we eat. I'm not promoting Wegmans (which is my favorite grocery store by the way), but some of them even have live music. This makes for a great experience going to the store. Their prices are pretty good too.

      A Positive Attitude

While there are many things about grocery maceys groceries shopping that we can find unpleasant, what I have learned is that the experience can be good or bad depending on our perspective and attitude about the situation. It can be like going into war against items that are playing hide and go seek or it can also be a pleasurable experience by going with someone you love and enjoy being around. Nevertheless, whether you are a guy who has a significant other or not, do what I do. Try to go with a positive attitude of gratitude. Consider that people in this world (maybe in your own neighborhood) do not always have the privilege of going when they want to go or even cannot go at all. All I am trying to say is, be grateful and have a good time while doing it.

    • Saving Money - Shopping at Salvage Grocery Stores

We've all thought, from time to time, there must be some way to spend less on groceries because these prices are just too high. We all have those times when suddenly our grocery budget is not as big as it needs to be. Shopping at a salvage grocery store can save you money.

When my children were young we had several tactics to save on groceries:

      a. We clipped coupons

      b. We kept a grocery price book to track the cost per ounce of groceries we bought.

      c. We shopped the grocery store sales & bought the good deals.

      d. We bought bread at the day old thrift stores.

      e. When we found one, we went shopping at salvage grocery stores.

There was something heartwarming about buying a $3.00 box of cereal for $1.00 to $1.50 and it really saved our family with six of us to feed. We didn't care if the box had a crunched corner or a rip in the cardboard because we only ate from the sealed liner inside.

Buying our cans of beans, corn and fruit for 1/2 the store prices was great, even if, some of the cans were dented or had a tear in a label. What counted to us was what was inside the can.

What counted most of all to me, when shopping at a salvage grocery store, was when we checked out. We were always surprised out how little we had spent on our cart full of groceries.

How do you find a salvage grocery store? In the past people usually found these stores through word of mouth. Usually a discount grocery lets their bargain pricing spread through word of mouth or small ads in neighborhood papers. We have a new directory at discountgroceryandmore.com where we list all the salvage and discount groceries nationwide for free.

Is it safe to buy discount or salvage groceries? As people shop at my store I see two kinds of people. Customer A may look for an expiration date and never buy anything that is out of date at all. Customer B either, never looks at these dates or simply makes sure the item is not more than a year out of date.

      Expiration Dates

There is a little confusion about these dates. The only things Federally required to be discard on certain dates are baby formula and baby foods. Other items with dates like best if used by and use before or best flavor if used by dates are put there by the manufacturer. This is done to either cause the grocer to price food so it sells or as a means to rotate stock.

Most of us have out of date foods in our cupboards we've been consuming over the years without realizing it. Some things like milk and potato chips do go stale after going past their expiration by a few days or a few weeks. Canned foods usually last a long time past these dates as do many boxed foods.

What about dented cans? Usually a small dent is not a concern. The only dents that concern the USDA, who regulates these stores, are dents of the seals on the top of a can or on a side seam. I have eaten many of these cans of, not allowed to be sold food. I have had only one can I opened that was bad. I have occasionally thrown away a couple maceys grocery store cans that were bulging as we sorted through a load of groceries.

There are a lot of these groceries that turn up in food pantries through agreements with, and, or donations from food chains. There are some food pantries setting up their own stores to buy these groceries and provide them to the folks who need them desperately.

If you have never shopped at a discount grocery, try one, you may be pleasantly surprised. If you have questions or concerns just ask the owners and their employees. They will be glad to help you. Most salvage stores I know of have a, it's no problem attitude, if you ever buy something that doesn't meet your expectation, they'll exchange it or refund your money.

    • The New Era Grocery Store

The New Era Grocery Store has arrived! Grocery shopping has evolved from a weekly chore into a bi-weekly experience. Shopping for food has finally become enjoyable, well at least for the customers that are shopping at these New Era Grocery Stores. And not only is it enjoyable, but many of these grocery stores primary focus is to offer a healthier option.

With movies such as Supersize Me and Food Inc. and the book Fast Food Nation, Americans have become much more aware of what they are eating. And as the medical field probes deeper into the effects of obesity, people have become much more conscious of what they eat. Whole Foods and Trader Joe's are really the pioneers of a healthier grocery option and with their recent success it has become much more clear that Americans are finally becoming more health conscientious.

So what are New Era Grocery Stores? They are by my definition the grocery stores of the future, the new, fresh, and creative stores that are popping up across the US. These stores have all the departments that you would have at a grocery store, yet they have uplifted the grocery shopping experience. Today Grocery stores have; Sushi Bars, BBQ's, Wine Tasting Rooms, Coffee Shops, Massage Stands, Blood Testing Centers, Healthy Living Kiosks, and huge Delis with hundreds of tasteful options. The New Era Grocery Store is a place where customers can spend hours, browsing the isles, eating great food, and indulge their souls without feeling the guilt of filling their stomachs with something that they shouldn't. It's no longer a chore to go shopping, but something that you can look forward too, something you can make a fun date out of, something that will transport you to a different world.

There is still much room for growth and improvement and spread. Even though there have been many success stories involving healthy living grocery stores, they have yet to truly revolutionize the way that Americans perceive grocery. Heath awareness has become a culture among many homes in US, and as this culture continues to saturate America the door for opportunity grows.

Now, how will you grasp this opportunity? Well, below is a brief list that will help you get started in the right direction:

Formulate a plan! Where do you want your macey's grocery store to go? How do you want the customer to perceive you? What is your demographic? What will attract that demographic? Do I need to change my store layout? Do I need to hire or fire employees?etc.
Analyze your competition. Find your competitive edge, and exploit it.
Find areas where you can save money (electricity, phone bill, employee shifts, products that always expire etc.) Put all the money you save into a "new plan savings account."
Make sure you have a point of sales software solution that will allow you to easily carry out your plan. New products, marketing plan, new store departments, customer rewards programs etc.
After you have saved enough money, put the plan into effect.

    • Hidden Benefits of Grocery Store Coupons

The most obvious benefit of using grocery store coupons is the amount of money that they help you to save each time that you will go to the grocery store. This is really something that you cannot undermine because it is pretty obvious. It is very normal to see shoppers who use grocery store coupons slash their total tabs at checkout. You see shoppers ring $200 initially but after all the coupons have been scanned, their total comes down to less than half of that.

Grocery store coupons are powerful tools in shaping your financial life. Simply put, what used to be a fixed expense on food and supplies becomes flexible and it only decreases more over time. This is why there are more and more grocery store coupon users these days. As money becomes more difficult to make, people seek new ways of stretching their dollars and grocery coupons fit the job perfectly.

But apart from the obvious money saving benefits, did you know that the use of grocery coupons have more advantages? They may be more subtle and you do not notice them as much as the extra cash in your pocket but these hidden benefits help to make your life easier just the same. Care to find out?
