Thanks for a great app team! I think your app is one of the best in this space for sure. I've run into a bit of an issue controlling playback from my mobile phone though. I have the app for Android installed on my Galaxy S7 and have added my home PC which holds the media library. The mobile app can see and list the movies on the PC without a problem. However, when I try to initiate playback it never starts. The app just sits there. From the PC itself I can initiate playback without any issues and the mobile app can then connect and pause and resume this playback, but not play any additional files.
After an unsuccessful try at playback from the mobile app I typically need to restart the chromecast in order to be able to initiate playback from the PC, otherwise I observe the same behaviour as on the mobile app (i.e. no playback is started and the app just sits there.)
PC, Chromecast, and Phone are on the same wireless network. I don't think there are any firewall issues, unless the app uses a different port to start playback vs. pause/unpause/list files.
Is there debug mode or some log that I can send you to investigate further? What protocol does the mobile app use to talk to the PC? If it's over http maybe I could try reproducing the same request via my laptop and see if there is an error.
Thanks in advance,
Sergei.
