    • Setting a external subtitle for individual videos queued in the playlist.

Been using the app for a few hours now since the major update (2.0.0.3) and it works great. Video plays smoother and forwarding or rewinding large bits of video doesn't make it go blank like before. Great Work!

      -Feature Request-
I would like to have the ability to set an external subtitle (srt) by pairing it with a queued video in the playlist. So that once it starts playing, the subs are auto. If possible also to automatically scan the folder which the video is from and play subs with the same name.

Thanks and keep up the great work.

    • RE: Automatic subtitles finder

@coorasse I use an application (for windows) called Sublight http://www.sublight.me/welcome/
it works pretty well for me, just right click any video you may have downloaded and click "Find Subs"
it checks the top sites like opensubs/subscene/podnapisi/addic7ed and almost always works for me

    • RE: Is there a shortcut icon that's supposed to appear for videostream on the extensions tab of Chrome?

@eviledward I had a question similar to this some time ago, No, there isn't. The only way to open it is via chrome://apps or the Chrome App Launcher or the Shortcut which should be in the Start Menu under Chrome Apps (Windows)

@alemosh ext subs are supported, when opening a video chose the sub file you want to play alongside then open them together. same deal for adding to playlist.

    • RE: Does Videostream support DTS audio?

@oliver It does indeed, what happens is Videostream will use the ffmpeg library to transcode DTS on-the-fly to a format which the chromecast natively supports, all this happens behind the curtain, just pick your video and off it goes.
