It would be a huge help to be able to search the library from the local PC. Having to pull out my phone every time I want to check whether something is already in my library is a bit tedious -- and silly, given I'm sitting at the computer hosting the content! Doesn't Videostream maintain a local index of content?

RE: Can't read my DVD
Videostream plays video files, not DVDs. If you are trying to use the "open file" dialog to select video.ts or something.. that isn't going to work.

RE: search option in the playlist
Seriously! I find myself relying on the Android app if I want to determine whether or not I already have something in my library, even when I'm sitting at my PC. Videostream already maintains a db of indexed content on the PC.. why wouldn't it be accessible?

RE: Using Playlist on Android
@adsweeny I'd like to know that as well. In the meantime I have noticed that if I create a playlist on the PC then the Android app will let me control its playback.

RE: Does videostream support x265?
The Chromecast Ultra lists HEVC as a supported codec. Does this mean that when casting to an Ultra the video will be streamed as-is, without real time transcoding?
