Cant play mkv files: Failed to load media with error: SessionError

Hi, whenever I try tostream MKV files to my chromecast I get stuck on the loading screen. I looked through the log files and saw this:
[error] [Cast], [977.079s] [cast.receiver.MediaManager] Load metadata error: [object Object]
[error] Loader._loadMedia: Failed to load media with error: SessionError

How can I fix this? Also running windows 10 if that helps
