Impressive in free practice, Marc Marquez looks at Qatar 2022 MotoGP with confidence

Repsol Honda racer, Marc Marquez , is satisfied with the time records obtained in the first (FP1) and second (FP2) practice sessions of the Qatar 2022 MotoGP. Marquez hopes that he can continue to improve his record time.

Marc Marquez showed significant progress after participating in FP1 and FP2 MotoGP Qatar, Friday (4/3/2022). In FP1, Marquez finished in fifth position by recording a time of 1 minute 55.137 seconds.

Then in FP2, the Spaniard managed to improve his record time to 1 minute 53.467 seconds and finished second. Marquez believes he can still improve his time record.

"The practice session went a little bit as expected, a little bit not. Of course in the race pace I expected something similar, but in one lap it was better than I expected," said Marc Marquez as quoted by Motorsport .

"Maybe second position is not my pace at the race pace , but overall it's better than I expected. The target is to try to be in the top 10 to get straight to QP2," said Marc Marquez .

The Qatar 2022 MotoGP leaves the third (FP3) and fourth (FP4) free practice sessions to be held on Saturday (5/3/2022). After that, proceed to the qualifying round.

Marc Marquez admitted that he really enjoyed his racing style at the Qatar MotoGP. According to Marquez, it will lead him to improve his record time to be the fastest.

"I'm not sure we will increase the lap time. However, we are happy with the way we ride," said Marquez.

"Still, I ride in a unique way. However, the best lap times will come," said the 29-year-old racer.
