Windows 10 Home Edition operating system has a built-in system facility known as "Sleep Mode". This allows the computer to automatically switch to the offline mode when switched off or during active use. The issue occurs due to missing Windows updates. To fix Windows 10 sleep mode issues, go to Start Menu > Control Panel > System and Maintenance and make sure that the outdated updates are fixed.
The Sleep Window button is greyed out. Go to Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories and look for the Sleep Window button. Highlight it and press Windows button to open it. Check that all the drivers are up-to-date in this window. If all the errors are fixed, proceed to step 4 to fix Windows 10 sleep mode issues. and their configuration errors in this window. Select the error you want to repair and click on the Fix button.
You can now upgrade the hardware or resolve the drivers. But if you can't upgrade the hardware, you can always download the latest drivers for your computer using Windows Update. It is also recommended that you set your power options to the Hybrid sleep mode. Some advanced PC users may find it helpful to tweak some power settings in the Windows System Configuration utility.
