BRUSSELS AIRLINES REGISTERS 13% PASSENGER GROWTH IN OCTOBER

In October, Brussels Airlines again saw a big rise in the number of people who flew with them. In October 2015, there were 13% more passengers than in October 2014. The number of people staying there also went up by 3.7%. Based on these numbers, Brussels Airlines is one of the airlines in Europe with the fastest growth.
In October, which is the last month of the summer travel season for airlines, 706,227 people flew with Brussels Airlines, which is 81,441 more than the same month last year. Most impressive was that the number of people taking flights to Africa and the United States went up by 27.9% and 20.3%, respectively. With 11.3% more passengers, the European network grew a lot as well.
The growth led to an improvement of the occupancy rate, which amounted to 76%.
The start of a new route to Accra was one of the best things that happened the month before. Since the end of October, there are direct Cheap Brussels airlines flight tickets between the capital of Ghana and Brussels Airport four times a week.
In addition to its scheduled flights, Brussels Airlines also ran many flights for tour operators and charter flights. The monthly passenger numbers in this press release do not include these charter activities.
