Re: Does hospice care always mean that death is near?
Valley View Hospice
For the past 2 years, my grandpa has been suffering from throat cancer. When we first discovered this, he was already on stage two. Today, suddenly, he is at stage four, which means that the chances of surviving are very low. Me and my parents did not know what to do next or how to take care of him properly or even help him, even if it was very clear that he only had a short time of life. After a lot researching and recommendations, we concluded to let him into the specialist’s hands at the Valley View hospice. At first, I was personally very worried about if we had made the right decision and if my grandpa would feel okay there, but after visiting him a few times and seeing how happy he was, we calmed down. A lot of things impressed me about the Valley View hospice, which is why I am here today, sharing my opinion about it and some important information for everyone.
The Valley View hospice was the one hospice we chose for my grandpa because of the numerous benefits and services it possesses. The Valley View hospice possesses physical as well as occupational therapy, which is a very good benefit to start with. Moreover, it features dietary counseling and speech-language pathology services, which is something not every hospice has. Personally, I was very impressed by the fact the Valley View hospices have counseling and support for you and your family in case of loss and grief. I consider this something very caring and loving. I have already visited my grandpa a few times now to see how he is doing, and besides that, I was eyeing how the staff is handling his illness and how they behave with him in general. Let me say that I was really impressed as they were behaving with him like he were someone familiar to them and not just a stranger with stage four throat cancer. In general, I can say that the staff at the Valley View hospice is very professional, patient, kind, and companionate. Because of this, I do not need to worry about my grandpa a lot. Furthermore, everyone in my family, especially my mom, liked how the Valley View hospice has only professional therapists and doctors, as well as how they are all of them well-trained in pain management. Generally, every hospice possesses benefits, but the Valley View possesses some more.
Leaving a loved one in a hospice might be stressful and hard, but it is the right choice if you can not personally take care of him or do not know how to help him. Thankfully, with the huge benefits and professional doctors, therapists, and nurses that the Valley View features, you can forget about stress and sadness. Of course, having a loved one suffering from a serious illness is not something likable, but if something like this happens, I absolutely recommend the help and care of Valley View Hospice. The Valley View hospice not only helped me and my family sleep peacefully without worrying a lot about my grandpa but also takes the best care of him and makes him happy.
