Gongura leaves are medium to wide, large, flat, and smooth. Three to five girdle, finger-shaped leaflets lobby the vivid green leaves deeper. Gongura leaves come from a thick shrub-like plant, usually at 2 to 3 meters high.
This is a rich source of iron, vitamins and folic acids, and important antioxidants for human nutrition.
It is known as Gongura in Telugu, in Marathi ambadi, in Tamil pulichakeerai, in Assamese Tenga mora, in Hindi pitwaa, and in Oriya khata palanga, in Bengali mestapat.
