Johnson & Johnson's COVID-19 vaccine elicits multiple types of immune responses, according to a new study, making it extremely protective in the United States, as well as South Africa and Brazil, where a handful of different virus variants circulate.
Researchers at Harvard University who developed the single-shot vaccine found that people in different parts of the world who received it were protected from serious illness regardless of the virus variant.
Dan Barouch, director of the Vaccine and Virology Research Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, said he was pleased to see the vaccine as effective in the real world as it was in the real world. Learn more from the Wookly
