The first job I ever interviewed for was a cellphone package promo on the street.
The interviewer asked what I "aspired" to get out of this job and why I'm applying, like, I couldn't physically take it so I chuckled and said, "for pay, what else".
Her response was "just so you know, it is generally considered inappropriate to bring up money on your first meeting with your employer"
Yeah bitch you got it I'm definitely going to sit here for 20 minutes while you are listing my obligations and responsibilities towards your cabal of vampires, how you want me to stand up straight like your tin soldier, how pronounced the curvature of my fake smile towards customers should be, and not even ask what I should expect for payment.
The corporate mentality is so morally bankrupt and pervasive that they seek to establish an imbalanced power structure EVEN IN A CONVERSATION THAT IS NORMAL BY ALL MEANS. "I give tit you give tat".
