While setting up the router, one of the important step is how to change default password Netgear router. You should also change the password after performing the reset and after a while. So do not keep the same password for too long period of time.
Steps to change password:
Connect to your wireless network using the Wi-Fi or you can use the Ethernet cable.
Open the web browser and type 192.168.0.1.
Now, enter your Net gear username and password to access router remotely.
In case you haven’t changed, default username and password are, username: admin, password: password.
Now, navigate to Wi-Fi settings.
Click on change password option.
Enter your current password and then create and type the new password.
Type it again to confirm and click ok to save the changes.
