    Unexpected error Chromecast/Videostream

      Hi videostream community,
      First I'd like to thank you for your wonderful job.
      I enjoyed Videostream for like 3 months in a row and I really liked it.

      But today it doesn't work. I don't know what to do.
      (I'm french) here is my message :

      In english it says : can't cast this device. An unexpected error happened, please do this : try to reload broadcast, verify your connectivity.

      Well I deactivated my Avast antivirus, and my Windows Firewall. I also made sure that 5556/5558 TCP were opened (they are).

      What can i do to fix this? Thanks for your help.

          There´s another thread with this problem. Seems like an issue currently affecting all Videostream users using Chrome, PC and Mac.

          Same problem for me... Can cast any other tab but not the Chromecast one. This must be an update gone wrong!

          Please correct this guys at Videostream (and cat)!

              Same error on my side on two devices that were working few hours ago.
              I hope that its just a wrong update, and that the team will correct the bug soon (i can't live anymore without this tool :D).

                I'm having the exact same problem. Mine was working a few hours ago as well. I tried resetting and rebooting everything.

                Any developments?

                  We just fixed it! Reboot the Chromecast and all will be well!

                    @grahamkennery You just fixed it as in 1) you're a VS dev and it's now fixed for everyone, or 2) you just fixed it for yourself? If 1) amazing, I'll get right not it if 2) you're a lucky swine but have tried that twice myself to no avail.

                      I'm a Videostream developer. I broke it - and I fixed it.
                      Some things need to propagate so you could be unlucky but a few reboots and you should be good.
