Apple iPad: Top 3 Apps For A Photographer
Thall last edited by
Apple iPad has made itself popular among the crowd for its sleek and stylish design (after all its Apple), high-quality software and many useful applications (for example, does fax app work for Apple users is not a question but a request). And since it's been out, there has not been an hour spared where apps are getting released here and there. Here are the top 3 apps if you are a photographer and own an iPad.
Why iPad? Well, it's portable and better to carry around compared to your portfolio books and other works. An Apple iPad can get you there in a jiffy and also impresses people who watch you work. The portfolio presentation never got this better.
- Photoshop Express
Available for free, this app from Adobe is worth every kilobyte of memory and its capabilities even more. Adobe Photoshop Express is available for iPad, iPod Touch and the iPhone. You can view pictures on photoshop.com and which by the way doesn’t utilize the iPad’s memory. The imported images from the camera can be edited using the connection kit.
While the Photoshop Express is popular, if you want more editing options at your disposal, then Filterstorm is what you are looking for. Filterstorm has better grip over the editing options like contrast, color balance, clone tool etc. You can then upload the images via email or FTP.
- Easy Release
Easy Release is a great app created by Professorial photographers to collect signatures and similar stuff on the iPad without having to do carry paper forms. The person for example, signs on the iPad and the receiver gets an email containing the JPEG format of the same. Other features include: Shoot and embed an ID photo right into the release PDF. Customizable “branding header” for logo image, company name, and contact info can be turned on/off per release or release type. Release legal text is now fully customizable. Add your own TFCD, TFP, or any other kind of releases! Add as many custom model and property versions as you want. Custom releases may contain “field-placeholders” for inserting data into the body of your legal text. Simply prepare your custom releases in an email to yourself then copy/paste into Easy Release! Select legal text version to use on a per-release basis. For each release, you may specify an optional “Addendum” to legal text which prints below your text. User Interface Languages: Swedish, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese Release languages included: English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Swedish, Russian, Polish, Chinese (simplified and Taiwan), Portuguese (Brazilian and European) and Japanese.
