Eloxatin: An Anti-Cancer Chemotherapy Injection
Eloxatin is an anti-cancer chemotherapy injection aimed to treat patients with advanced cancer of the colon or rectum (metastatic colorectal cancer). Eloxatin is typically used in combination with other anticancer medicines. This drug is believed to work by stopping the multiplication of cancerous cells. Both males and females, do not conceive a child (get pregnant) while taking Eloxatin treatment. A few barrier ways of contraception, such as condoms, are recommended. Avoid breastfeeding while taking therapy with Eloxatin. Eloxatin is injected slowly into the vein over a time span of several hours. It is typically injected through a specially prepared site on the skin. Avoid eating or drinking anything that is colder than room temperature for 5 days after you take each dose of Eloxatin.
