That's an amazing idea! I'm pretty sure you won't regret going there because Russia has many great places that you'll enjoy. For example, St Petersburg is my mother's favorite city, and you'll fell in love with it as well. And you can get russian tourist visa without any problems online with some visa services, so good luck!
